Romantic Wedding in Florence Villa

The telephone rang, on the other end of the line a gentle voice spoke Italian with a sweet French accent. “I’m Virginie, I’m in Florence with my fiancé for a couple of days, and I wondered if we can meet. We would like your help to plan our wedding in Florence villa”. They came to Tuscany for a few days, it wasn’t only a holiday, it was a journey in the hope to discover  the perfect place for their special day. And they did it! This 15th century villa is nestled in the heart of the wine region of Chianti but at the same time located at a very few kilometres from Florence.

With Virginie & Julien, we organized a three-day event. At arrival, we welcomed their guests with a “White party” on the villa’s terrace, from which you can see the dome of Florence. A jazz band entertained everybody while prosecco, finger food and pasta salads were served in a rich buffet. The day after the wedding a pool party was the perfect solution to relax and cool off from the Italian summer heat.

The wedding itself was simply a fairytale. From start to finish, Virginie and Julien wanted an incredible variety of gifts, corners, and activities to amaze and amuse their guests. The symbolic ceremony was set on a big lawn between the villa and the olive ground, with the altar centrally located with a path bordered by cypresses. The courtyard hosted the dinner in an enchanted atmosphere. Afterwards, the cake cutting took place in the terrace with a spectacular view on fireworks. The perfect place for the party was the cellar, in front of which we  organized a minivan photo booth, candy bar, tattoo bar, rum and cigar corner and many lounge areas for people to chill out.

MOOD BOARD AND STYLE

Romantic pink hues

Virginie and Julien had a clear vision: romantic, soft, rich of details, their wedding has to be like a fairytale. The palette was classy: the pink hues inspired to the walls of the villa, creamy and white tones to add freshness and softness, gold for a glamour and lavish touch.

Guest were welcomed with a many favours:  hats, fans, refreshing spry for ladies. Everything was nicely settled in corners at the entrance of the ceremony.  The marriage rite area was charming and evocative, with the path of cypresses standing out behind the altar as to symbolize their life together.  The arch was decorated with drapes and big flower arrangements in the same style of the entrance and of the bouquets along the aisle.

The dinner was the core moment of the day. Perfect to host four imperial tables, the courtyard was adorned with hanging greenery and fairy lights to create a magic sky and dreamy effect, especially after sunset. The tables were richly decorated with tall and low flower arrangements, candles and tea lights. Placed along the walls, with the bride and groom seating in front of the stairs which were a nice frame for the top table, the tables created a squared shape. In the middle  a dance floor used for some games as well as for the first dance.
