Enchated forest wedding in Tuscany

Maibritt and Tim’s wedding took place on a warm day of October. Contrary to what one might think, the beginning of autumn is a beautiful period for weddings. During their long weekend, they had the opportunity to enjoy the pool, complete with ice-cream cart, to organize a nice wine tasting and pizza party under the starts and to create a magic forest wedding in Tuscany.

The hamlet they choose is nestled in the hills between San Gimignano and Volterra. A wonderful venue with stunning views and a philosophy focused on sustainability. From the very first site inspection there was no doubt that the ceremony had to happen in the forest. It was simply perfect for their forest wedding in Tuscany, a mystic location for their nuptial vows. Guests were amazed by such a charming setting.

Afterwards the apéritif took place on a terrace with a stunning view. What the best backdrop while enjoying finger food, canapés, charcuterie, and cheese with prosecco and cocktails? The sunset is particularly beautiful at this venue, which is not far from the cost and it can therefore benefit of the orange, pinkish hues typical of the sea-sunset.

After some photos of couple and groups, we moved to the belvedere: a big garden in front of the elegant facade of the main building. A transparent tent hosted the dinner. Round tables surrounded the dance floor, while the top table, place in front of the stage, was the protagonist of the setup. The cake cutting was done in the middle of the dance floor: chocolate and a raspberry was definitely a sweet and delicious way to finish the dinner.

The party gave to everybody. Draft beer, cocktails, pizzas, sweets, and a band hired from London. They were definitely the right choice to entertain everybody all night long.

MOOD BOARD AND STYLE

Elegant enchanted forest

For Maibritt and Tim we studied two different concepts. Indeed, they wanted a very clean, elegant style with modern touches for the reception. However, this didn’t match the atmosphere the location chosen for the ceremony suggested, definitely more natural and rustic.

So, we decide to create a natural arch made of branches and little soft flowers and greenery, along with wooden benches, class cylinders with candles and petals along the aisle. Colours were neutral, so that the white could stand out in the brown of the forest.

Definitely a brighter palette for the rest: raspberry and tones of pink for the flowers, which were mainly roses to create a clean, tidy effect. The greenery was minimal. Tables were decorated with a trio of round bouquets with the same type of candles than the ceremony. For the stationery we used a pearly paper with a water colour style decor.

TESTIMONIAL

She understood our wishes and requirements perfectly

During our search for the perfect wedding location in Italy we met many wedding planners. However, from the moment we first met Sara there was no doubt that she is as professional and organized as wedding planners come. She understood our wishes and requirements perfectly and showed us an incredible range of options before we found the venue that was ideal for us. From the moment we secured the venue Sara guided us through the planning process ensuring we made decisions in good time to secure the availability of the vendors we liked (photographer, celebrant etc.). We had 11 months to plan our wedding and kept in almost weekly contact with Sara throughout. This ensured a relaxing and comfortable process for us, where Sara consistently ensured that things were progressing on time and as planned towards our big day. Sara was always one step ahead ensuring that things never got stressful. The delivery of our wedding was flawless and a most of that was down to Sara and her level of organisation. She stayed with us for the three days of our wedding and ensured that EVERYTHING ran smoothly. We always felt that Sara put our interests first and ‘stuck up for us’ when negotiations got difficult. It was an absolute pleasure to have Sara arrange our wedding. We would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to arrange a dream Tuscan wedding.
