WEDDING CEREMONY IN TUSCANY
SYMBOLIC, CIVIL, RELIGIOUS
The heart of your special day

Choose the ceremony that truly reflects you
Each type of ceremony comes with its own requirements and characteristics.
We’re here to help you understand the differences, guide you through the process, and manage all the legalities and logistics involved, making everything clear, smooth, and tailored to your needs.

Legally binding, internationally recognized
A civil wedding in Tuscany is the ideal choice if you wish to have a legally valid marriage recognized in your home country. There are no residency requirements, but the legal process typically takes between three and six months and varies based on nationality and residency.
Civil ceremonies are usually held in town halls or a limited number of licensed venues. However, thanks to our trusted network of authorized celebrants, we can offer the possibility to marry legally in a wider variety of stunning locations across Tuscany.
We assist you throughout the entire process, handling paperwork, official translations, appointments with authorities, and post-wedding certification, ensuring each step is completed correctly and on time
The most flexible and personalized choice
A symbolic ceremony offers maximum freedom, with no legal or religious constraints.
Whether you prefer to handle the formalities in your home country, or simply wish to focus on the emotional experience, a symbolic celebration allows you to marry anywhere, at any time, with no bureaucratic limitations.
This type of ceremony can be fully customized: from tone and duration to music, readings, and meaningful rituals.
We would be honored to officiate your symbolic exchange of vows and help you create a deeply personal and unforgettable moment.

Celebrate your faith in timeless settings
Whether Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish, we can assist you in organizing a religious ceremony that aligns with your beliefs and background. We’ll select suitable locations for your faith, provide instructions of all the documents you need to provide and introduce a minister of your denomination to officiate the ceremony.
Each faith tradition has its own requirements, and we’re here to make the process easier, coordinating what we can directly and guiding you through the necessary steps with the appropriate religious authorities.
Catholic weddings have to be celebrated in a consecrated church and Tuscany offers many wonderful, ancient alternatives: you can choose between cathedrals in the heart of the most beautiful cities, or small chapels in the countryside.
If you prefer a traditional setting, we can support you in arranging your celebration at one of the region’s historic synagogues, or churches that allow Protestant rites.
A religious ceremony can also be combined with a civil one to ensure full legal recognition.
Can you just plan the ceremony if we have planned the rest ourselves?
Yes, we can support you just for the ceremony, whether that means providing an officiant for a symbolic celebration, or assisting with the paperwork for a civil or religious wedding.
Do you offer interpreter service as part of your assistance?
Yes. We provide interpreter support for:
– Document translations
– Appointments in Italy (such as declarations at the Town Hall or Court)
– The wedding ceremony itself (required by Italian law, as civil ceremonies must be conducted in Italian)
How long does the process for legal ceremonies take?
The duration of the process changes depending on your nationality and country of residence. Normally the process takes from 3 up to 8 months.
We can confirm the timeline applicable to your ceremony after we understand your specific case.
What documents do we need for a civil wedding in Italy?
Required documents vary depending on your nationality and country of residence.
We’ll provide a detailed list and guidance once we’ve reviewed your specific case.
Where can a civil wedding take place? Only in town halls?
Civil weddings can be held at Italian Town halls or specific venues with authorization.
Will we receive an official marriage certificate after the wedding?
Yes. After a civil ceremony, the town hall will issue an official multilingual marriage certificate. Delivery times vary, from a few days to about two months, depending on the municipality.
Do we need to provide specific documents for a religious wedding?
Yes. Depending on your faith you have to follow a specific process.
For Catholic weddings for example you have to provide certificates to prove that you received all sacraments, an affidavit concerning the freedom to marry, a certificate of prenuptial class and the authorization to marry.
We can provide more information after we understand your specific case.
How long does the process for religious ceremonies take?
Timing depends largely on the minister or religious authority in your home country (priest, rabbi, etc.). Since many documents must be obtained or prepared locally, we recommend checking directly with your local minister to understand the time required.
Can we have a religious wedding in Tuscany if we are not Catholic?
Unfortunately, Catholic religious weddings in Tuscany are only available to Catholic couples.
Do all churches in Tuscany allow foreign couples to marry?
No. Only a limited number of churches in Tuscany allow non-resident or foreign couples to marry. We’ll help you identify suitable options based on your needs and background.
