Sara
Founder & Wedding Planner
I was born in Florence, and Tuscany has always been my home. While I believe I’ve always had a passion for weddings, it took other professional experiences to truly realize that this was my path.
I worked in fashion and communication, managing events for leading brands across Italy.
It was the perfect mix of pragmatism and creativity, a blend of my skills and passions, that naturally led me to wedding planning when the opportunity arose.
Alessia
Wedding Planner
Born in Italy to an American mother and an Italian father, I studied Communications and Public Relations and Event Management in the U.S. but chose to return to Italy, building a bridge of emotions between my two homelands, Italy and America.
I am currently an instructor at Florence University of the Arts, teaching an Event and Wedding Planning course.
Elisa
Wedding Coordinator
Born and grown up in England, my parents have Italian origins. Probably that is the reason why I have always had a fatal attraction towards Italy and I decided to live in Florence.
I love meeting new people and sharing my knowledge and passion for the things I care about most.
That’s why I teach English, my native language, to Italians and welcome international couples who come to celebrate their special day in Tuscany.
Emanuele
Wedding Coordinator
Born just outside Florence, my love for travel sparked a deep, borderless sense of belonging to the world.
My “marriage” with numbers began with a degree in Business Economics and a career in one of the world’s top auditing firms.
At Floé, I blend structure with creativity: I capture meaningful moments and step in to coordinate whenever needed.

The story of Sara
What’s behind the planner. And the woman.
Hi, I’m Sara!
Born in Florence, I live and breathe Tuscany in all its corners. I travel over 6,000 miles a year through hills, vineyards, and villages, always searching for the perfect spot for the next “Yes, I do!”
I love traveling, cooking, and playing volleyball (though these days, it’s mostly from the couch).
Now comes the trickiest part for a planner: planning how to tell 45 years of life, in just a few lines.
Story Chapter N° 1Who is the groom?
It was 1992. Of course, it was just a game, but a very serious one for me.
I loved inventing weddings and turning them into little worlds to live in.
Giulia played the bride, Simona was the celebrant, Elena my faithful assistant. And what about me? I, naturally, was the wedding planner.
I sketched the bridal gown, arranged the flowers, designed the stationery, crafted the wedding cake, and even staged a photo shoot.
The only real challenge? The groom. None of the boys wanted to take the role. But that didn’t stop us, not even for a second.
Story Chapter N° 2Yes… I did - just for a part of my life
An interesting mix flows through my veins, on one side the creativity of my father, a textile designer; on the other, the precision of my mother, an accountant.
In my youth I happily dabbled between two worlds: numbers, with the calculator that my mom gifted me when I was 9 years old, and the textures, colors and fashion runways, from which I would get inspired to create stories.
After I completed my linguistic studies, my path led me to different worlds:
I won a contest to work in banking (my mom was enthusiastic)… but after 15 days I quit (she was less happy about this). I moved towards the fashion world, producing streetwear items (my dad was proud).
Then I arrived to manage events at a national level: first corporate events for a magazine, then as a freelancer, and at the end… I came full circle.
Story Chapter N° 3My dream became my profession
From my first imaginary ‘wedding’ in 1992, Floé Weddings was born. It is the perfect blend of brain and heart.
Today, I can count on 11 years of experience, over 230 unforgettable weddings planned in the heart of Tuscany, and 98 happy couples that trusted us to manage one of the best days of their lives.
Story Chapter N° 4He Proposed (and I Scheduled It)
Today, I have a little girl named Eva. She is 7 years old and is an aspiring wedding planner, creating small arrangements in her barbie dreamhouse everyday.
I have a husband that, after 15 years together, finally convinced himself to propose.
He’s a creative person … Maybe he took this long to do it because he wasn’t finding the right way to propose. At the end he chose the most traditional way of all: Christmas day, ring, and kneeling included.
And how did I react? I was emotional, obviously… but the first thing I said was: ‘ But…when are we gonna do it?’
I don’t know if I was happier or more surprised by the idea of having to plan the weirdest wedding of all: my own!
But then I told myself… even this time, my team will be by my side!
For once, I was able to stop planning and enjoy my role: the one of the bride.
And what about your proposal? We’d love to hear about it. In Italy it’s customary to discuss things over an espresso. If you’d like, we can get a virtual coffee and chat about it during a video call

Common questions about Floé
How long have you been planning weddings?
Floé Weddings was founded in 2016, but Sara had already been working in the destination wedding industry for over 3 year, after gaining experience in high-level corporate events.
How many weddings do you plan per year?
We typically manage around 15 weddings per year, most of them multi-day celebrations.
This allows us to dedicate time, care, and attention to every single couple.
Will I be assigned to one planner for the planning process?
Not exactly, and that’s a good thing.
Sara and Alessia follow every wedding together to ensure consistent, reliable support at all times.
On the wedding day, at least one of them will be on site, alongside a second coordinator, to oversee vendors, support your guests, and make sure everything flows exactly as planned.
How do you communicate with us during the planning?
We are constantly in communication with you. We prefer email as it’s the easiest and most convenient way to receive and review information according to our different time zones.
All documents are also uploaded in your Wedding Folder that you can easily access with the possibility to leave comments or assign tasks.
We also schedule video calls whenever needed, and during your wedding week, we create a WhatsApp group to keep communication quick and instant.
Do you work only in Tuscany or also in other regions of Italy?
Tuscany is our home and specialty.
That said, we’re happy to travel to iconic venues across Italy for couples who fall in love with a specific location.
How do we know if we’re the right fit?
We begin with a preliminary call to connect, understand your vision, and answer any questions.
Then we usually move forward with a venue search, a practical, low-pressure way to start working together before confirming the full planning journey.
How does your fee work? Do you charge a flat rate or a percentage?
Our fee is a flat rate tailored to the type and complexity of the event, number of guests, type of celebration, and specific needs. Our philosophy is based on transparency, we want you to be confident that we work exclusively in your interest.
When you get in touch, we will send a presentation of our services and fee structure. This can be fine-tuned as we better understand your vision
