DESCRIPTION
This elegant property lies on the hills overlooking the Val d’Orcia, a beautiful and miraculously intact valley in Southern Tuscany. Originally built at the end of the XVth century, the Villa was renovated in 1924 and transformed into the current agricultural estate.
Famous for its lovely Garden, “a labour of Love” of the English architect Cecil Pinsent, it can be the perfect villa of your dream wedding and event, with its 13 rooms, a swimming pool and a private library.
The house is surrounded by the formal Italian garden, which is divided into geometrical ‘rooms’ by box hedges with lemon trees in terracotta pots. Travertine stairs lead to the rose garden and a winding wisteria-covered pergola bordered by a lavender hedge.
The ceremony is usually held in the monumental garden, the aperitif in the Italian garden, the dinner in the main square in front of the villa facade, and the party in the lemon house.

The estate combines historic charm with modern comfort: two panoramic swimming pools, sculpted gardens and unforgettable vistas reaching as far as Florence’s Duomo. The aperitif is normally held in the private pool area, while the front courtyard and garden behind the villa can be used interchangeably for ceremony and dinner. The party is usually in the cellar with an outdoor chill-out area.

How we select the Tuscan wedding venues for you
Key venue selection criteria
Tuscan wedding venues are historical and spread across various towns like Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and regions such as Chianti and Val D’Orcia. Each one has its unique rules, restrictions, and logistical considerations.
Beyond aesthetics, these factors directly affect the feasibility and execution of your event. Our wedding planners expertly analyze each destination wedding location and venue, navigating complexities to help you select the perfect setting —without unexpected surprises or constraints.
We guide you through an stress-free selection process tailored to your vision, budget, and needs.
1. Ambience & Tuscan style
Setting the right tone starts with choosing a venue that reflects your personal style. From timeless villas to rustic farmhouses, we help you find a space that feels just right for your story.
2. Guest count & Backup plans
We ensure that each venue suits your guest count and offers the right mix of indoor and outdoor spaces — so every part of your celebration flows smoothly and comfortably.
3. Budget optimization
Choosing strategically from the start is key: the venue often takes up about 30% of your wedding budget, and a well-considered choice ensures you don’t sacrifice other meaningful elements.
4. Variety of settings
Considering spaces suitable not only for your ceremony and reception but also for welcome dinners, after-parties, and other celebratory events.
5. Accommodation & Logistics
We highlight accommodation options, transportation convenience, and accessibility from major airports, so your guests can enjoy the beauty of Tuscany without logistical stress.
6. Noise limits & Party flow
Some venues have strict time or music restrictions. We evaluate what’s possible and help you plan a celebration that flows beautifully from start to finish.
When should we start looking for our wedding venue?
The ideal time to start planning your destination wedding is about 18 months in advance.
Securing the venue early means more availability, more flexibility — and the chance to build your celebration around the perfect setting.
Starting on time also helps you book your favorite vendors and define every detail in line with your style, priorities, and budget.
How does the venue search work with you?
Our venue search process is designed to help you make a well-informed, balanced, and strategic choice — one that reflects your style without compromising your overall wedding experience.
We begin by creating a tailored selection based on your vision, guest count, aesthetic preferences, and most importantly, your budget.
You’ll gain access to a private section of our portal, featuring a curated shortlist of venues that match your criteria. Alongside that, we’ll provide a comparison sheet with key details (capacity, layout, backup options, rental terms) to simplify your evaluation.
We’ll then discuss your favorite venues together in a dedicated call, helping you focus on the ones that truly fit — both emotionally and logistically.
If you plan to visit Italy, we’ll organize a venue tour so you can experience your shortlist in person.
If not, we’ll walk you through each venue remotely, explaining how your wedding could unfold in every space.
Once you’ve narrowed it down, we prepare a custom budget estimate for your top choices so you can clearly see the financial impact of each option.
This step is essential: it allows you to avoid choosing a venue that absorbs too much of your budget, leaving little room for the other services that truly matter to you — from design to guest experience.
With us by your side, you won’t just choose a beautiful location — you’ll choose the right one for the wedding you truly want.
And once you’re ready, we’ll manage the entire booking process, clearly, calmly, and with your best interest at heart.
How many venues will we be able to choose from?
We typically present each couple with a curated selection of 20 to 30 venues — all of which are carefully handpicked based on your specific needs.
We focus your attention on the venues that truly make sense for your wedding: those that match your guest count, style, budget, rental type (day-use or full weekend with accommodation), and most importantly — are actually available for your preferred dates.
This tailored approach saves you time, avoids frustration, and ensures that every venue you consider is a real, suitable and high-quality option — not just a pretty place on a list.
By trusting our process, you avoid the overwhelm of endless scrolling and falling into the common trap of getting your heart set on venues that are either over budget or already booked.
Do we need to visit the venues in person?
Not necessarily. Visiting in person is certainly helpful — it allows you to better experience the space and atmosphere of each location.
However, if traveling to Italy isn’t possible, we can schedule a video call to guide you through the characteristics of each venue and even arrange virtual tours so you can make a confident choice from afar.
Will we receive a cost estimate before confirming the venue?
Absolutely. After you receive your personalized venue selection — complete with availability, pricing, and key info — and define your top 2–3 favorites, we’ll prepare a detailed budget estimate for each of them.
This will include the minimum cost of services for the wedding day and any additional events you may wish to host, helping you make a decision that aligns with both your vision and your investment.
How much should we expect to spend on the venue?
The venue normally takes about 30% of your total budget, but actual costs vary depending on the type of location with accommodation or for day rental.
If a venue has onsite accommodation the cost can vary depending on the capacity. Common rates start at about € 25.000 for 3 nights.
Venues for day rental have different rates based on the location. The closer you are to Florence the more expensive it is.
For a villa overlooking Florence you can pay from € 15.000 up to € 45.000 for 1 day, while more remote locations cost from € 8.000 upwards.
In addition to the venue fee consider the cost of all the other services, that, based on recent weddings and current market rates, are:
- Wedding day from € 800 per person
- Linked events from € 150 per person per event
When we take care of your venue search, we always include a custom budget estimate for your favorite venues, so you can make a decision that’s not just based on style and setting but informed and economically sustainable.
What’s the difference between a venue with accommodation and a day-rental venue?
Venues with accommodation require exclusive rental for 2–3 nights. They often host pre/post events like welcome dinners or brunches, and offer a beautiful all-in-one experience.
Day-rental venues are available only for the wedding day. In this case, guests will need to stay nearby and transportation must be arranged.
If you’d like to plan other events (welcome, farewell, etc.), we’ll help you select additional locations that match your vision.
Is there a minimum or maximum guest count for each venue?
Yes. Each venue has a maximum capacity based on its spaces and facilities (such as restrooms and catering areas).
Venues with in-house catering often also have a minimum guest count, required to guarantee the service.
We’ll help you find a location that suits your guest list and overall flow of the event.
Do Tuscan venues have music restrictions?
Yes, most venues have noise curfew, especially outdoors. They require the music to end around 11pm/12am outdoors, which means that you’ll move the party indoors at that time. We’ll help you build a timeline that keeps the energy flowing while staying compliant with local regulations.
