Fairytale wedding castle Florence

Amy and Mo were what you would define the perfect couple. Sweet, always smiling, they live in London and wanted to bring family and friends to Florence to celebrate a fairytale wedding. The long weekend was made of a few events. A wine bar along the river Arno was the perfect location to welcome everybody: good Italian wines, charcuterie, cheese, bruschettas… and a stunning view on Ponte Vecchio. I wasn’t easy to compete with such a backdrop, however a fairytale wedding castle Florence gave us the right solution!

Located a few kilometres from the city centre, it was strategically located and perfect to host every moment of the reception in a different space. The main doors opened to a beautiful garden, where guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne before taking their seats for the ceremony. Preceded by the brides maids, the bride arrived with her father by a vintage Bentley. A string trio tuned up the song for the entrance while a dear friend of the couple sang for them.

After the cocktail time, we escorted the group to an elegant winter garden where they spent a couple of hours for dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, with a live music entertainment the courses were separated by speeches. But one of the most important moments still had to come. The cake cutting took place in the magnificent courtyard of the wedding castle Florence. The walls were up lighted and a monogram with the bride and groom’s initials gleamed over the entrance. A pastry chef prepared the millefoglie — a typical Italian wedding cake — in front of the guests, offering sweet entertainment. In a corner the photobooth was stormed, while the mother of the groom (with Libyan roots) struck a traditional bongo. It was time for the first dance!

MOOD BOARD AND STYLE

Romantic pink hues

Amy and Mo dreamed of a romantic, classy wedding. They wanted a traditional style, elegant, but not formal, able to reflect their personalities and romanticism. Ivory and pink tones dominated the decorations, made mainly of flowers.

The ceremony was fresh and dreamy: a round arch with greenery and flowers was the backdrop of their vows. The chairs settled up in a semi-circular layout were adorned of bouquet, with petals scattered all along the aisle. Tall candelabras were the protagonists of the tables which was full of flower arrangements, candleholders, and tea lights, everything precisely silver or pinkish.
